On November 18th and 19th, FGV Direito Rio will host the OpenForum Academy Symposium 2025, an international event organized in partnership with Open Forum Europe and that brings together researchers, policymakers, and professionals interested in the social, political, and economic impacts of open technologies and open source.

Recognized as the only academic conference dedicated exclusively to this interdisciplinary field, the OpenForum Academy (OFA) symposium annually promotes debates that connect different research agendas and foster collaborative knowledge production, focusing on the public value and transformative impact of open technologies.

The 2025 edition, hosted by FGV Direito Rio, will be the first in Latin America and promises to broaden the scope of discussions, highlighting the diversity of open technologies that contribute to the development of solutions in contexts of uncertainty, social innovation, and digital transformation. The program includes paper presentations, thematic panels, and interactive sessions with experts from different regions of the world.
