Doctor

Doctor in economics from the University of California (1989). Master in Administration from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) – 1983 and in Mathematics from Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (National Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics) – 1981). Graduated in Electronic Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1977). He is currently an assistant professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ), a member of the Advisory Board of Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos de Empresas Transnacionais, a member of the Superior Council of Economics of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, and a columnist – Jornal Valor Economico and Correio Braziliense. He has experience in Economics, with an emphasis on International Economy, working mainly on the following topics: growth, institutions, judiciary and economy, privatization, and infrastructure.
