Yasmin Curzi

Professor at FGV Law School, Rio de Janeiro, Coordinator of its Diversity and Inclusion Program, and Researcher at its Center for Technology and Society, working since 2019 with a focus on Human Rights and Technology, Platform Regulation, Gender, and Digital Democracy. PhD from IESP-UERJ, Master's degree from PUC-Rio, and Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Social Sciences from FGV-Rio, with an Academic Exchange period at Université Sorbonne Paris-IV. Member of the National Cybersecurity Committee of the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil.
Currently, she coordinates the "Media and Democracy" project (2023-25), supported by the European Union, the Dynamic Coalition on Platform Responsibility (DCPR) of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (UN IGF), and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Platform Governance Research Network. She is also an associate researcher in the CyberBRICS project of CTS-FGV, and a guest professor in the LL.M. courses in Law, Innovation, and Technology at the FGV Rio Law Program. As a lawyer, she is the vice-president of the Commission for Freedom of Expression in the Digital World of the OAB-RJ. She has also served as a correspondent for the NGO Stop Street Harassment (Washington-DC) in Brazil and was a consultant for international organizations such as GIZ (Germany), End CyberAbuse, and Chayn (UK).
