FGV Rio Law Assistant Dean of International Affairs and Global Cooperation teaches at Bucerius Law School, visits further Partner Institutions

In December, FGV Rio Law Professor Dario Buschor, Assistant Dean of International Affairs and Global Cooperation traveled to Europe to strengthen our academic partnerships. The institutional visit included Bucerius Law School in Germany, WU Vienna in Austria, and Masaryk University in the Czech Republic.

As the first and main destination, Professor Dario Buschor visited Bucerius Law School, a long-standing academic partner since 2016, where he delivered a short course on “Compliance and Risk Management for Lawyers” to a class of 35 students from 15 different countries as part of Bucerius’ International Program. He also met with former exchange students who spent a semester in Rio de Janeiro and held meetings with Kasia Kwietniewska, Senior Director of Academic Programs and International Affairs, and team members of the Bucerius International Office, university administrators, representatives of the Alumni Network, and professors of different areas. The visit highlighted the potential for further collaboration between the two partner institutions.

At Masaryk University, he sat down with Professor Michal Radvan, Vice Dean for Foreign and External Affairs, and Věra Redrupová, Head of the Office for International Relations. The conversation focused on advancing the ongoing cooperation between the institutions, exploring opportunities for faculty engagement, and identifying potential areas for future joint academic initiatives.

To conclude the institutional visit, Professor Dario Buschor visited WU Vienna, a partnership established last year, where he met with Charlotte Schinnerl, Program Manager of Partnerships and Student Exchange, to initiate the cooperation between the institutions by outlining the first steps of the partnership, including procedures for student mobility and the initial framework for academic exchange.
